Pe undeva pe drum, arta a fost \u00eendep\u0103rtat\u0103 de oameni. Limbajul academic, snobismul cultural \u0219i distan\u021ba institu\u021biilor au ridicat un zid \u00eentre oper\u0103 \u0219i omul din fa\u021ba ei, zid pe care \u00eemi doresc s\u0103 \u00eel \u00eendep\u0103rtez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mediul artistic nu reprezint\u0103 o limit\u0103 pentru mine. Pictur\u0103, poezie, film, textile sau muzic\u0103, toate pun aceea\u0219i \u00eentrebare: cum ajunge un om s\u0103 \u00een\u021beleag\u0103 un sens pe care nu \u00eel recunoa\u0219te de la prima vedere, \u0219i care i se pare c\u0103 nu \u00eei apar\u021bine? \u00cen jurul acestei \u00eentreb\u0103ri \u00eemi construiesc toat\u0103 practica. \u0218i pornesc mereu de la percep\u021bie, nu de la teorie. Teoria vine dup\u0103, ca instrument prin care numesc ce a fost deja perceput. Folosesc ideile ca pe un set de lupe, pentru c\u0103 a\u0219a ele scot mai bine la iveal\u0103 ce se vede deja \u00een oper\u0103, \u00een loc s\u0103 impun\u0103 ce trebuie v\u0103zut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cum visul e unul dintre subiectele mele de cercetare, tratez \u0219i simbolurile ca pe o form\u0103 real\u0103 de cunoa\u0219tere, nu ca pe un simplu decor. Le citesc dup\u0103 logica lor intern\u0103. \u00cen acela\u0219i fel \u00eemi structurez \u0219i conceptele curatoriale, c\u0103ut\u00e2nd mai \u00eent\u00e2i gramatica ascuns\u0103 a unei opere \u0219i abia apoi povestea ei de suprafa\u021b\u0103, pentru c\u0103 un simbol poart\u0103 adesea o memorie pe care cultura din jurul lui a uitat-o. O parte din rolul meu e s\u0103 aduc \u00eenapoi acea memorie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pentru asta, m\u0103 lupt cu dou\u0103 obiceiuri deodat\u0103. Cu obiceiul academic de a vorbi de sus c\u0103tre oameni \u0219i cu obiceiul comercial de a le vorbi condescendent.
